I have said really nasty bits about jumpsuits in my other blog where I mainly write about what annoys me. But a friend wanted one and who am I to argue. After all it was a chance to make something new which I had never made before.
I found the pattern for this one on burda style, the bandeau romper, and changed it round a bit to make the pants longer. I must admit I really enjoyed putting it all together. Of course I will not be caught in one in the foreseeable future owing to my size and shape.
I discovered that a jumpsuit/romper needs flowing material that drapes and allows the skin to breathe. I used 2 meters of black and white cotton viscose fabric which I could only find at a local haberdashery Carol Fabrics. There was a bit left over which I am still debating on how to use...
This is the shorts version with my other embellishments again.
I really like the jumpsuit but it should not be worn by people with the wrong shape or a plus sizes like I am as it tends to make one look much bigger.
