Cotton multi coloured quilt

I made this quilt for a friend. It took me two hours to prepare the fabric and stitch it all together.

To make the quilt and the pillow slips (two standard and two continental), I used 4 metres of the multi coloured fabric, 3 metres of the the contrast fabric, and 3 meters batting.

I got the specific measurements for the set from the burda website which is a fount of information for those who want to sew or want to learn how.

The bright orange and green brighten the room and give it an eclectic feel. Combined with curtains in a matching solid colour, the room will look and feel exotic. Curtains in a shimmery fabric like jacquard and taffeta silk will be the best if you do not have children with sticky fingers.
